作者簡介
蕭卓明先生 (Maurice)
出生於一個十多人平凡家庭的蕭卓明,自幼患有哮喘及扁平足,需經常進出醫院。中三時因全科取F或以下的成績被踢出校,在「遊學」、輟學、打散工中尋尋覓覓。在這過程中,他發覺了使目標得以達至的一些重要的元素及模式。短短兩年間,於挑戰重重的馬拉松中奪奬。學業方面,他卒能在全港稱著的拔萃男書院完成中學和預科階段,及後更在香港大學教育系畢業。幼年時,曾當眾立志,要十一年後代表香港出奧運,結果...

作者蕭卓明先生多年來不斷做義工,2005年獲推廣義工服務督導委員會頒發嘉許信。當了教師十多年的他,眼見現今青年人對生命滿是疑惑、憤怒甚而絕望,希望能夠以生命影響生命,予當下青年人一點點啟示:夢想,並非遙不可及。

Objective of this App
The developer of this App wishes to share the passion of the Author of the Book, Maurice Siu, to life, as well as his unbeatable mind towards adverse moments in life. This App is an encouragement to the Author who was in a fight against Cancer.

Background of the Author of the eBook
Maurice was born in an ordinary family of ten. He was a flat-footed child plagued by asthma, who needed to attend hospital regularly. Maurice was dropped out from school in the ninth grade due to dissatisfactory academic results. During the time when he was jobless and attended part time jobs occasionally to make a living, he discovered essential qualities and thoughts an achiever must possess. Within two years afterwards, he won an award in a marathon race. On the other hand, he graduated from the renowned Diocesan Boy’s School in Hong Kong, and subsequently graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in education. When Maurice was young, he once vowed publicly, he had to be one of the representatives of Hong Kong to attend the Olympic Games in 11 years. Well…… Maurice is now a financial planner. He engaged in volunteer works in recent years and was appraised by respective authority. Once being a teacher for more than ten years, he saw that youngsters nowadays are doubtful, furious or even hopeless about life. Maurice wishes to influence lives and tell people “dreams are not unreachable”.
